TALLAHASSEE, FL – Andrew Gillum’s disastrous record is catching up with him. From Gillum’s troubling association with the Dream Defenders, to ongoing questions about his trip to Costa Rica and the violent crime problem that continues to plague Tallahassee, voters across Florida continue to learn more about why Gillum is too radical and too corrupt for Florida.

Tampa Bay Times: Four nights in Costa Rica for $400? Here’s the Gillum trip that DeSantis was talking about

"Gillum' campaign released a bank statement earlier this month showing a $400 cash withdrawal the day before the trip as evidence that Gillum paid his way. (Corey's attorney has said that Corey did not receive any money from Gillum.) Doing simple math, if 12 people were on the trip, each person's share would have been $116 a night. For Gillum and his wife, that would mean they would have owed $928 after the four nights."

Tallahassee Democrat: Ron DeSantis uses Dustin Daniels' ad to attack Andrew Gillum's record on crime

“Gillum’s former chief of staff is running for mayor now and he’s sending out flyers saying Tallahassee in 2017 had the highest number of murders in their history and that they need to fix the problem,” DeSantis said during a news conference in Oldsmar with the National Federation Independent Business. “Andrew’s not been able to do that. You’ve had the highest crime rate in Tallahassee of all of Florida for four years.”

Miami Herald: Republicans label Gillum a ‘radical’ over his alliance with Dream Defenders

“Gilum’s support for Dream Defenders goes back years, to his time as a Tallahassee commissioner…The group was one of eight progressive organizations last month, including NextGen America and New Florida Majority, that contributed $3.5 million and/or campaign volunteers to help Gillum’s underdog primary campaign pull off a stunning victory.’ These radicals not only support the abolishment of borders, prisons, and police, but also call the United States ‘the biggest bully in the history of the planet,’ “ RGA spokesman Jon Thompson said in a statement.”

Tampa Bay Times: Republican Governors Association releases TV ad attacking Gillum’s ties to Dream Defenders

“As the Florida Democratic Party takes to the airwaves to attack Ron DeSantis' healthcare record, the Republican Governor's Association is firing back at Andrew Gillum with its own TV ad noting the Democratic gubernatorial nominee's financial support from the Dream Defenders and the organization's controversial political views.”
