Chairman Ingoglia slams Murphy over Iran deal support

Tallahassee, Fla –  Today, Republican Party of Florida Chairman Blaise Ingoglia released the following statement regarding Patrick Murphy’s support of the Iran Deal:

“More and more we have seen that the American people do not approve and trust the White House’s Iran Deal – which empowers Iran with more flexibility and economic relief without preventing them from obtaining nuclear weapons. Patrick Murphy’s support of the Iran Deal demonstrates how out of touch he is with Floridians who overwhelming oppose the deal. Voters across Florida deserve a future US Senator that will fight against weak negotiations and stand firm against rewarding nations that sponsor terrorism,” said Florida GOP Chairman Blaise Ingoglia.

Background:
Sun Sentinel: Florida voters strongly oppose Iran nuclear deal

Florida voters strongly oppose the nuclear agreement with Iran and believe ratification would make the world less safe, polling released Monday shows.

The Quinnipiac University Poll of Florida voters found the deal aimed at preventing Iran from getting nuclear weapons is opposed by 61 percent of Florida voters. Just 25 percent said they support it.

Negative views about the Iran deal cut across demographic groups: It's opposed by the youngest and oldest voters, by men and women, and by Republicans and independents. Democrats are the only group in which support for the deal is greater than the opposition.
