TALLAHASSEE, FL– Today, the Republican Party of Florida Chairman Blaise Ingoglia, set the record straight regarding the GOP Voter Registration numbers:
“The false narrative reported that Democrats are out-registering Republicans with 503,000 voter registration applications, compared to 60,000 for the GOP, is wildly inaccurate. The source of this data is the Division of Elections Third Party Voter Registration Organization Report and the truth is that this number reflects a rolling total since 2011, which includes registration numbers from the Obama 2012 reelect, as well as a big registration effort supporting the Charlie Crist 2014 campaign.
“The fact is that since January 2015, the Florida GOP has cut the Democrat voter registration advantage in half. If the Democrats numbers were accurate, their registration numbers would be going up, not down. Unless, of course, Democrats are registering Republican voters for the GOP? In that case, we thank them for their hard work,” said RPOF Chairman Blaise Ingoglia.
