RPOF Announces New Finance Director and Consultants

Gretchen Picotte and Rick Porter as finance consultants and Heather Manso as Finance Director

Today, Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) Chairman Blaise Ingoglia announced that fundraising firm Political Capital will lead the party’s fundraising efforts for the 2016 cycle. Heather Manso will take over as full-time Finance Director, starting June 1, 2015.

Chairman Ingoglia said, “With these three additional hires we are setting the RPOF up for success in 2016.Strong fundraising efforts will be vital to our success as we move toward the 2016 election. We need to ensure that we have the tools needed to succeed, and I know this team will deliver.”

Gretchen Picotte has worked in Florida politics for more than 15 years, and founded Political Capital, LLC in 2007 while serving as Florida Finance Director for the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee. Picotte and her team have run finance operations for many presidential races, US House and Senate races, as well as statewide races. Picotte is a graduate of the University of South Florida and holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications.

Rick Porter started his career in politics in 2004 working for US Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Mel Martinez in his bid for the United States Senate. Porter first served as a Deputy Regional Field Director, with a focus on grass roots outreach and coordination of campaign events in the Central Florida area. Porter has worked on various campaigns including presidential races, US House and Senate races, as well as multiple statewide races. Rick Porter is a graduate of Rollins College and holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science.

Manso most recently worked for the political fundraising consulting company Taylor Strategies, where she provided full service fundraising for individual candidates in the Florida House and Florida Senate. Previously, Manso served in the Senate Majority Office under Leader Lizbeth Benacquisto. Prior to her service in the Senate, Manso worked at Contribution Link where she provided detailed fundraising plans for candidates, committees, associations and lobbying firms in Florida who had both hard and soft dollar fundraising needs. Heather began her political career in 2009 working for the Florida House of Representatives then moved on to Florida Association of Health Plans. Manso holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a master’s degree in Applied American Politics and Policy, both from Florida State University.
