RPOF Chairman: Why is Andrew Gillum Surrounded by People Who Have Contempt for Floridians?

TALLAHASSEE, FL- Recently Floridians learned that a high-ranking Andrew Gillum staffer called voters “dumbf*****” and the campaign refused to fire him until more incendiary comments surfaced. Today, the Chairman and CEO of a Florida-based bank, who also happens to be a major Gillum supporter and donor, is calling Florida “a sh*thole.”

Why is Andrew Gillum surrounded by people who have such contempt for Floridians?

"First, Andrew Gillum doesn't immediately terminate a high-ranking staffer for calling voters ‘dumb f*****.’ Now, today on a conference call with reporters, we find out that one of his big supporters, a banker and Democrat "super voter," called Florida a sh*thole. Why is it that Andrew Gillum and his campaign have such disdain and contempt for the people of Florida? This is obviously not an isolated incident anymore. This is becoming a pattern and seems to be normal behavior no matter how much Gillum and King try to apologize for it." – RPOF Chairman Blaise Ingoglia

Gillum Supporter Ken LaRoe, founder and CEO of First Greenbank, calls Florida “a sh*thole. “The Andrew Gillum for Governor campaign called on an Orlando banker to make the case for a corporate tax increase who then had to apologize for calling the state a shithole. Ken LaRoe, founder and CEO of First Greenbank, said his passion and love for Florida got the better of him when he tried to explain why a 2-percent corporate tax increase would be a sound investment in public education. LaRoe and Gillum's running mate, Chris King, talked to reporters via conference call Thursday to respond to GOP's criticism of the proposed tax hike.” (By James Call, The Tallahassee Democrat, Andrew Gillum supporter apologizes for crude remark about Florida on Chris King conference call, October 4, 2018)

Gillum Staffer Finally Fired After Discovery of More Incendiary Comments. A youth outreach staffer for Democratic Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum has been terminated after calling for President Trump's death on Twitter, and wearing a shirt calling pro-Trump states ‘Dumbf--kistan.’ The staffer, 24-year-old Manny Orozco-Ballestas, made a series of sexually graphic and politically charged comments on social media in 2012 and 2013, according to fringe blogger Jacob Engels, who flagged the posts.  In one 2013 post, Orozco-Ballestas wrote to Trump: ‘you need to be executed.’ In another, he reportedly wrote, ‘If you're weighing 300 pounds+ maybe it's a good idea you stop posting all that fattening food pics on [Instagram]!’" (By Greg Re, Fox News, Andrew Gillum staffer fired after calling for Trump's execution, wearing shirt deriding pro-Trump states, September 30, 2018)
