RPOF STATEMENT ON FLORIDA REP. ILEANA ROS-LEHTINEN’S IMPENDING RETIREMENT

TALLAHASSEE, FL- Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) Chairman Blaise released the following statement on Florida Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen’s (R-27) impending retirement:

“Florida Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen will be sorely missed in the halls of the United States Congress,” said RPOF Chairman Blaise Ingoglia.   “Ros-Lehtinen has served as an elected official for more than 35 years— a feat that is both unprecedented and deserves great merit.  As the first Cuban-American elected to Congress, she has been a fierce advocate for human rights at home and abroad, all the while adding to her long list of legislative accomplishments.  The Congresswoman has served her constituents and the people of Florida with great pride and respect, and we are eternally grateful for her extraordinary commitment and service.  The RPOF wishes Ros-Lehtinen, alongside her family, all the best as they embark on the next chapter of their lives, and we once again thank her for representing all Floridians with such fervor and humility throughout the years!”
